Duck hunters
and guides are not permitted by law to build permanent duck blinds
in the state of Florida. We are permitted to use natural vegetation
as a blind. Here are some photos I took of duck hunters hunting
from natural vegetation duck blinds on Lake Okeechobee. These
photos show the average depth of the water, natural vegetation
duck blinds used, decoy set ups and the type of cover a duck hunter
will likely be hunting from. These photos should be very helpful
in providing a hunter with a visual idea of the area and type
of the territory they will be hunting from.
Photo
above shows a stand of trees used as a blind. The decoy in the
foreground is a Mojo battery operated decoy. Look close at the
center hunter and you will see a dog with a duck in it's mouth.
