Duck migrations are arriving in full force now. I have seen ring-necked duck flocks of a hundred to five hundred scattered over the lake. The severe colds that have hit the northern states early this year have the migration in full forcet. Outlook looks great for an action year of duck hunting on Lake Okeechobee.

Lake Okeechobee duck hunters Bryce Statham (Pembroke Pines, FL - ph: 954-486-8687) and Joe downed a limit of ducks during a morning of duck hunting on December 16, 2003 with Ron's Guide Service. Their limit consisted of ring-necks and gadwals. Several of the ducks could not be found in the high weeds. Ducks were taken in the flooded field areas south of the Monkey Box area of Lake Okeechobee.
